LUKAS IONESCO
Lukas Ionesco is a French artist: actor, musician-composer, singer and model.
Raised in a family of artists (his mother Eva Ionesco is a French movie director, actress and photographer, his grandmother Irina Ionesco is a Romanian artist photographer and his father is a musician and decorator of Dutch cinema), he passion directly from an early age for all these arts.
At 18, Lukas Ionesco starred in his first film as an actor where he starred in "The Smell Of Us" by American director Larry Clark.
He then buys a folk guitar and learns alone to play it by composing his first songs. He then started his first punk group called "Crash". Very quickly, he moved towards a more calm and personal style, and it was then that the album "Diaperpin" was born. He then composed 12 songs which he sold under the counter in the form of home-made cassettes.
"Diaperpin" makes him want to go further in the search for his artistic and musical identity, he then composes new songs in a Folk-Grunge-Lo-Fi vein and leaves to record in New York his first EP "Paris Texas ”under his name, Lukas Ionesco.
Subsequently he made some short films alongside Jean Pierre Léaud and Marisa Berenson, followed by a feature film, "Jessica Forever" by Caroline Poggi & Johnatan Vinel, and the film by Eva Ionesco, his mother, "Une Jeunesse Dorée", where he plays the first role alongside Isabelle Huppert, Melvil Poupaud and Galatea Bellugi.
He made several concerts in Paris in halls such as Les Bains Douches, Les Trois Baudets, L'Olympique Café, Le Point Éphémère, L'Espace B, Le Serpent À Plume, Le Silencio… inviting new artists on stage like Marcello Giuliani , Stone Jack Jones or Melvil Poupaud.
In his new album, "Magic Stone", released on March 20, Lukas Ionesco affirms an artistic universe that he shares with his love Clara Benador.
